New Pronunciation feature that mimics the new GCSE read aloud test for MFL with immediate feedback
Sanako is pleased to announce the second product update of 2025 for the popular Sanako Connect online MFL system.
We're thrilled to introduce a fantastic new enhancement to the Pronunciation tool within Sanako Connect. Teachers now have the ability to easily incorporate custom text into pronunciation practice.
Simply paste any text into the tool, and students can then record themselves pronouncing specific sections. They'll receive immediate feedback in the form of a zero to five-star rating, along with highlighted errors and unlimited opportunities to re-record and improve.
Previously, students have had the benefit of listening to AI-generated pronunciations by native speakers as a learning aid. A new feature has now been introduced that gives teachers the option to disable this functionality.
This will encourage students to rely on their phonics knowledge and understanding of the language's pronunciation rules when practicing words, phrases, sentences, and texts, without the direct reference of a native speaker model.
This free update will allow teachers to use Sanako Connect for assessments that directly reflect the 'Read Aloud' component of the revised GCSE speaking exam.
This feature can be accessed by the teacher when creating exercises manually.
It is also available when using Sanako AI to generate multiple MFL exercise types concurrently by simply selecting a tick box.
When after the students have completed their "Read Aloud" activity the Sanako AI system will automatically asses the work saving the teacher countless hours of marking time
