Career Talks from our Director, David Binns, continue to inspire students to opt for a language at school

 Do the MFL Career Talks from our Director, David Binns, really have a positive impact on student Numbers opting for a language? Penglais School in Wales have something to say about it

Hi David,

Hannah here from Penglais School, Aberystwyth.  I hope you are well.  I just wanted to get in touch to see what availability you have to come back and do the same talk?

I can’t tell you how successful it has been!!  Our numbers in Spanish have gone from 28 to 40 this year and I believe you talk played a significant part in that. 

Numbers have also gone up in French but marginally.  They were quite low so any increase is welcomed .  I can see we have had a huge increase in boys taking languages so I think they really related to you and your jokes about football but I also think they are motivated by money more than girls and maybe were inspired by your references to promotions at work etc..

I would also like other schools in the county to do the same
